The origins of foot massage are undoubtedly Chinese. It is they, in fact, who first discovered that on the surface of the foot there are points of "reflection" corresponding to the various parts of the body. They discovered that each part of the foot corresponded to an area of our body and that touching and massaging these parts appropriately, the benefit is then in the whole body.
The Thai Foot Massage is based on the purely holistic principle that, by working on the entire surface of the foot through a precise sequence, precise information is sent to our brain which thus becomes capable of recreating a state of balance in the whole organism and eliminating any dysfunctions due to stress, work, busy life.
It is interesting to note how often the painful areas of the foot turn out to be the same areas that are in difficulty in the body.
The foot massage is performed manually, with bare feet; it makes use of oil, and also uses a special wooden instrument, called "Stick Wood", typical of Thai massage and specially designed for the execution of the sequence.
For an optimal experience, it is preceded by a foot bath with essential oils which has the purpose of relaxing and disinfecting the tissues, and therefore putting them in the best conditions to receive the treatment.
Traditional Chinese Medicine considers foot massage revitalizing and capable of restoring balance. The heart, head, lungs, kidneys and intestines regain their functionality.
