Californian massage is a particular type of relaxing massage. Sometimes also called with the names of psychosomatic massage or sensory massage, the Californian massage aims to "get in touch" the body with the mind, in such a way as to obtain the well-being of the whole organism.
Born in California around the 70s, it was mainly carried out in Californian psychotherapeutic centers, to awaken oppressed sensations and sensitivities in the recipient. The intent of the Californian massage, therefore, is to allow the achievement of a state of harmony between body and mind.
In this massage technique the contact is long and takes place in complete silence, as if it were a long caress. Through the movement of the hands the masseur penetrates emotions, desires and distant memories.
Extremely enveloping, due to its very nature this massage cannot be performed on a person covered by a towel.
